WisConnect is a Black women-owned holding cooperative providing business services to Black women-entrepreneurs looking to scale and sustain their operations through in-house legal, accounting, administrative, marketing, co-packing, childcare, and financing services, as well as access to affordable commercial space and global trading opportunities through cooperative enterprise and inclusive redevelopment opportunities.
We provide WisConnect with comprehensive commercial real estate transactional legal services that include the drafting and negotiation of commercial real estate sales agreements; commercial lease agreements; commercial real estate finance investment documents; and strategic entity formation. Our expertise ensures that WisConnect adhere to its cooperative governance principles while achieving their commercial real estate and community economic development objectives. Fame Center
A Black woman-led nonprofit art center based in Chicago, IL. Fame Center is currently purchasing a commercial real estate building with a total square footage of 56,000 sq. ft.. This purchase is aimed at re-activating Chicago’s South Loop, turning an underutilized property into a thriving commercial and community business hub that enhances the local economy and community life. Our firm supports Fame Center with expert legal advice concerning various aspects of commercial real estate transactions, including contract negotiation and compliance to finance strategies. Our involvement ensures that Fame Center maintains its integrity and vision of commercial social enterprise within contract negotiations and transactions.
